My Reading List – Jane Austen’s Pride And Prejudice
I’m just a few pages away from completing Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice on my Kindle for PC app. Timeless classic it is, and I thought I’d share. I don’t really feel up to a synopsis right now, but the Wikipedia entry on it is a great spoiler, if you’re so inclined. However, Elizabeth Bennet’s sportive manner and lively speech never fail to bring a certain lady on twitter to my mind. I’m not saying who though. I also can’t help feeling that the english language as an art form has gone into decline, considering all the lols, omgs and brbs that are now even beginning to slip into our speech, such was the effect that Jane’s delightful prose had on me. And there’s also a YouTube trailer for the 2005 movie adaptation that I dug up via google.
